I was talking to a friend recently about faith and trust. Specifically, our faith and trust in the universe to provide what we need to move forward on our paths. For many people, it’s hard to put a lot of faith in “the universe,” because it’s so intangible.
We can talk all day about how we’re all part of the same energetic whole, aka “the universe” or “source” or whatever you want to call it, but it can be hard to wrap your mind around that unless you’ve studied quantum physics.
And even if you understand the energetic interconnectedness of everything, and you understand how your thoughts and feelings can change your life because they affect the energy of the particles that make up your existence (it’s physics, really!), it can still be hard to have faith in something you can’t actually see happening in front of your face right this minute.
That’s a long-winded way of saying most of us have to see it to believe it and if we can’t see it, forget it.
But the thing is, belief is literally the energetic foundation of everything that manifests in our physical reality. You must believe it in order to see it.
Our faith is the raw material that the universe uses to create the experiences we’re dreaming of. Our trust gives our guides energy, it fuels them and gives them something to work with. How can they help us manifest our desires if we have no faith in their ability to do it? They can’t. It’s like trying to drive your car when the gas tank is empty. Not gonna happen.
So how do you trust something that feels intangible or that you don’t feel like you’ve experienced?
Answer: You just do it. Or, more accurately, you practice doing it.
The thing about faith and trust is that they create a positive feedback loop out of themselves. The more you practice having faith and trust the easier it gets to have faith and trust. The more you can take action from a place of faith and trust, the quicker your reality will shift, thus strengthening your ability to have faith and trust.
This is how you make something out of nothing. Give the universe something to work with so it can help you create the life you want.
Try it out, what have you got to lose? Nothing, that’s what.
